A Caregiving Comfort: Save

Denise

We save so much. We save all the paperwork the health care system gives and the insurance provider sends. We save our loved one from harm as often as humanly possible. We save others from the stress and worries of caregiving because we do what they won't.

Who will save us?

Who will save us when we can't find our way through? Who will save us when we don't have enough for all the demands of the day? Who will save us when hope gets lost?

Will we have to save ourselves?

Maybe we've saved too much and now need to spend. Let's spend time letting loose with the tears, writing out our fears and talking out our wear and tear. We've saved by enduring with our still upper lip. Let's spend by showing the humanity of our experience.

Because we've saved so much, we can spend without guilt. Let's spend time in healing and receiving. Let's take in.

Let's deposit peace of mind because we live a life of purpose. Let's bank faith because God believes in our worth and value. Let's store our memories of our courageous moments because they remind us that our courage will get us to the other side. Let's make time by taking in the fact that we do enough so we don't have to chase more. Let's gain rest because we can be confident that our presence is invaluable.

You've saved so much. Know you are treasured.
