Oh Rock63, it is! I've gone 6 months without much help. My daughters help when they can. They work, have their own homes, have their own lives & I understand that. I'll always be grateful for the help they have unselfishly given me. I try not to bother them. I know they'd help in a heartbeat, but...I try not to bother them.

I'm at the place in my life where quiet is good, as in \"How was your weekend?\" \"Quiet. I like quiet. Quiet is good.\" I'm passed the place where I have an ax to grind at work, and need to \"find myself\". My kids are out of the house and I don't have to support them. I'm still young enough to have fairly decent health and not spending too much time focused on aches and pains and possibilities. I'm in that \"sweet spot\" that will fly by for the sheer sameness of it, and I'm thankful for it. One day I will look back over my shoulder and remember the quiet of right now, and wish it would return.

I am grateful for small miracles. My mom was supposed to have an appointment with the Podiatrist this afternoon. She was up most of the night, sick, the whole nine yards, commode and puke pail! The Doctor's office called early this morning and cancelled her appointment because the doctor is sick. :) That saved me from having to cancel the appointment!

I remain grateful for the support of the musical community of which my husband was a part.

I am grateful that my sis is getting back on her feet from an accident & able to help me with Mom. She has starting coming over 3 days a week to give me a few hours to do what I need to do.
