I love to watch a show called "What Not to Wear" because its hosts, Stacy and Clinton, constantly remind us to buy the size we wear today. We're tempted to wait and only buy clothes after we lose weight. Or, we're tempted to buy the size we want to be--the size we hope we will be some day in the future.

In essence, because we're unhappy with our weight right now, we have clothes that don't look good on us right now. They're either too old, too big or too small.

I love the idea of buying what fits today. Why not just accept who we are and do what we can to look our best right now? Why wait to look our best?

What we do with our clothes we can do for our life. Perhaps we don't want this life--it's a life that doesn't fit--so we put off wearing it. Rather than being fully present in the moments of today, we resist. We don't want this life so we don't look for moments we could enjoy or times that could be special. We're waiting for a better day. Or, believing the life we want exists in our past.

Today, let's put on our life. We can wear it, knowing that its good fit depends on us, that we get our best fit when we live our life proudly. When we wear our life, exactly as it exists, we believe in it. And, then it believes in us.

Why wait to live?
