stethoscope-448614_640Yesterday started as a routine day. We got up and out and went to get Dad's follow-up CT. The scan took all of ten minutes. We decided to go to the mall to kill the hour we had between the scan and the appointment with the doctor.

Dad has been doing well in his recovery. Even his dementia medicine has seemed to be working well. We were a bit blindsided when his CT still showed some areas of concern. He had a bleeding stroke and according to the doctor, any blood on the brain should have been cleared up by now.

The doctor's concern is that what he saw may have been a tumor -- the possible cause of the stroke. Perhaps the reason his eyesight is still impaired on the left side.

We're trying not to panic, taking one day at a time. It just has me wondering how this might change my brother's decision to leave.

I'm so sorry to hear this Mike. It is moments like this that bring into perspective how precious life really is. Sending healing prayers to your dad...and a hug to you xo

Mike, I am so sorry to hear this. You have had so much to think about -- too much actually. I just said a prayer for you.
