Good News and Bad News

Good News and Bad News

sun-687707_640Well yesterday morning I decided to get some yard work done early (5 a.m.) since Mom wasn't in the midst of a panic attack, her head didn't hurt so bad and her fire wasn't too terrible.

So while I worked at whacking down weeds, she slept. She got two hours of sleep!!! Once I came back inside everything went bad again, but at least she wasn't doing too terrible and she got some rest.

This morning our A/C went out. This happened 11 months ago, this is a brand new condenser!  We are thankful that it will only be in the 90's today, we are praying we can get it repaired before we once again hit the triple digits this weekend. I tell ya, if it isn't one thing, it's another! The stress is causing Mom's symptoms to be exasperated.

On another up note, since Mom hasn't been screaming as much these past two days, our cat hasn't been vomiting.  I am praying that next month when I shampoo the carpets, Mom will be good for a few days so that the cat won't vomit on the carpets!

The heat adds such another challenge during caregiving. I so hope you've been able to get the A/C repaired.\r\n\r\nSo proud of you, LH! You're doing so much so well. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

You are doing an awesome job. And I agree, if it isn't one thing it's another! Hang in there! Most of us are traveling down the same different roads! Keep blogging and getting it out!

I'll be thinking of you as you face each challenge head-on and deal with it. Glad to hear about your Mom's progress and hope your dreams of clean carpets come true! I agree with Hussy about the carpets and 4 cats. Last year we took our tax refund and tore out the carpets and had the floors refinished. Too many years of sick kitties leaving their essence. It is worth it! Kitties stay, carpets go. Hang in there, you're doing an awesome job.

Hope you can get the AC repaired quickly. I can't live without my AC. \r\n\r\nPoor kitty! Carpet guy came to our house on Monday. Our front and back staircases and second floor hallway are carpeted. Our four cats barrel up and down those staircases and down the hallway all day long so it's virtually impossible to keep that carpet clean. My next home improvement project is going to be to rip that carpeting out!
