Here Comes the Rain

Here Comes the Rain

Michelle
rain-228855_640The weather forecasters are promising us, in the Southern California area, four days of rain beginning today. Will this finally break the drought? Will I finally be able to grow some plants? I don't know. What I do know is:

Here Comes the Rain

The wind chases clouds across the sky

And multicolored leaves as they scatter by.

And the sun hides its face

From the cold chill in the place.

Here comes the rain

The heavy jet-black night

Annihilates the bright blue light.

And the moon hides its face

from the cold chill in the place.

Here comes the rain!

Here comes the rain

Tiny needle-points of water

Appear from nowhere

Going nowhere

Simultaneously condensing and evaporating,

moistening and drying,

truth-telling, lying

living and dying

And the world hides its face

from the cold chill in the place.

Here comes the rain!

Here comes the rain!

Here comes the rain!
