Homecoming!

He asked if he could go into the den, but it isn't ready. The ramp has been built but the rails are not up. The furniture needs to be rearranged and the couch and old TV has to be removed from the den to make room for two walkers. No more holding on to furniture to keep their balance. Two walkers are hard to maneuver through the house with all the furniture. We have been rearranging and removing furniture as needed.
We moved the SmartTV into the living room from which they could almost watch all their favorite shows with the Amazon Fire Stick. Wheel of Fortune was actually on YouTube with the current broadcast. They were happy and finally went to bed at 7:30.
Today Dad woke up at 4:00 a.m. as he usually did before. He writes his column but I'm not sure he started one today. He may have been reading the e-mail. 30 minutes later he went back to bed. I've been up since Mom got up to go to the bathroom and called me. She had forgotten that Dad was home. Dad was fast asleep then. I used the baby monitor while Dad was away and will continue to use it now that he is home. It will be another busy day, but I am definitely looking forward to his doctor appointment later in the morning. I'll have to cancel my last day of therapy.
