In my case, caring for a parent (my Dad) gave me the opportunity to return the favor. To show him that he \"raised me right.\" To learn patience. To demonstrate compassion and mental toughness. I gained confidence in myself and learned fascinating things that I did not know. I saw first-hand the full cycle of life. I had no idea how much I was going to personally gain from this amazing experience.
