Denise
flowers-569588_640With Mother's Day on Sunday, let's share stories of our moms.

In six words, tell us about your mom. Feel free to share as many six-word stories about your mom as you would like. And, if you feel up to it, you also can share a story about what it means to be a mom.

I look forward to learning about your moms, those with us and those who look down on us, in our comments section, below.

I'm not a football fan; in fact my family abounds in artsy-fartsy pursuits. But Fall 2001 remains in my memory as one of my best Mom Experiences: my eldest daughter, in college and participating in her college marching band on Saturdays, and my youngest daughter participating in her high school marching band on Fridays. They were glorious weekend parent-fests of pride; the color, the sound, knowing how hard they had worked for each success. Surpassing these joys, even, were their weddings days; not feeling poor, not feeling like we hadn't provided enough; but able to support each daughter in seeing her wedding vision come true while small and private. Each wedding was as unique as the daughter; each a gift, and always a mysterious mystery.
