Deadline is 4/23! Join Our Zentangle Art Show: April 25 and 26

zentangle-474026_640During our Wellness Fair for Those Who Care™ earlier this month in Boston, @thedogmama showed attendees how to create beautiful doodles using the Zentangle Method.

TDM gave a two-minute tuturorial and, 20 minutes later, an attendee created a piece of art. It's art that begins with lines and continues with lines. It's art anyone can create.

According to, the Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Because Zentangle draws you in to the patterns you create, the art form is a great way to relax. I've added resources at the bottom of this post to help you get started.

So, let's Zentangle and then show off our creations in a Zentangle Art Show, which will happen on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26. The deadline to enter a Zentangle for our show is Thursday, April 23 Monday, April 20. We''ll vote for our favorite, whose artist will receive a $25 gift card. I'll announce the winning Zentangle on Monday, April 27.

Make our Zentagle Art Show a family affair, involving your kids, grandkids and carees. Anyone in a caregiving situation, regardless of age, can enter. Carees as well as former family caregivers are eligible to enter, too. Again, we vote for one favorite in our show; the artist who created our favorite Zentangle will win a $25 gift card. You can enter your art via the form, below. You'll want to submit a separate entry form for each Zentangle you want to enter.

And, just a reminder: Our Fifth Annual Caregiving Art Show takes place the week of September 13. We'll sponsor a Caregiving Art Show contest again this summer to help you prepare for our art show. Look for more details in May.

I started doing this and it is so relaxing as long as I don't obsess about the design and just let it happen. Got several more already...
