Last Day: Buy Your "I'm a Family Caregiver, What's Your Superpower?" T-Shirt

On April 17, we're wearing green to bring awareness to the family caregiver experience. We're wearing green in order to lessen the loneliness and isolation that can be common when you care for a family member or friend.

And, thanks to @yolanda, we've got a great slogan for our Wear Green t-shirt: "I'm a Family Caregiver, What's Your Superpower?" Yolanda won our Wear Green slogan contest.

Today is the last day to purchase a "Wear Green" t-shirt. You have your choice of two colors--a lighter green or a darker forest green. The shirts cost $15 each plus $5 for shipping and handling. The proceeds of the t-shirt sales help me keep running. I'm using a website called Booster to print and ship our t-shirts; you'll purchase your t-shirt directly through Booster on our Wear Green page.

Purchase your Wear Green t-shirt. Today (March 30) is the last day to purchase a t-shirt to receive in time to wear on April 17.

Thanks so much!!

About Wear Green on April 17:

By wearing green, we hope to spark conversations about who we and what we do as family caregivers. We're wearing green so we can spot each other in a crowd. Be sure to share photos of your green on social media, including Twitter and Facebook. We're having fun while giving a face to a sometimes invisible role—caregiving. I selected the color green for a few reasons. Hopefully, we’ll be enjoying spring green on April 17. I chose green because of Donna Baldwin, a 1999 winner of our Caregiver of the Year contest. Before Donna cared for her mom, she had plastic plants in her home; she couldn’t keep a plant alive. As she cared for her mom, she developed a green thumb, eventually replacing most of her plastic plants for live ones. Caregiving can be such a difficult situation. It also can be an experience that fosters growth.
