Make the Most of Every Day/ Time Waits for No One

Amy
Getting over a loss is hard. I know.

My brother passed in 05, Mom in 09 and Dad in 12. I still have days when my heart hurts like it was yesterday. Through my professional Facebook page I get messages from caregivers who are walking or have walked in my shoes. I cared for both my parents and was with both of them when they passed. One of the questions I am asked most is how to you carry on?

My answer? Make the most of everyday. Our loved ones would not want us to stop living. A friend of mine and his wife are out of the country for six months. They are spending three months in Ireland and three months in Spain. My friend suffered a heart attack last year. No warning. He is the picture of health, works out and takes care of himself. He was lucky. He had bypass surgery and is doing great.

When I asked him what are you both going to do about your jobs, his reply was, "Time waits for no one." His words have been in my head ever since.. We need to make the most of every day. Time does not wait.

So live, love and laugh like there is no tomorrow. It's the best testimony we can do in honor of our loved ones. They would want nothing less for us.
