Read our interview with Caregiving.com Head of Marketing, Nancy Kavadas.

Caregiving.com: Tell us about your background and early career path. What drew you to work in the caregiving space?

Nancy: Caregiving comes at all stages of life. Thinking back, my initial experience in end-of-life caregiving was watching my mother take care of my grandmother and then, later in life, watching my father-in-law take care of my mother-in-law. It's difficult and sometimes painful to watch your loved ones during this journey, feeling so helpless. I've really only been a caregiver to my daughters up to this point. Raising two girls in today's world is not the easiest task, but there have been a lot of rewarding moments over the years.

I have 20+ years of marketing experience; primarily in the healthcare technology and patient education space. The caregiving space is a little new to me, but we have a team of past and present caregivers who I can lean on to help fill in any missing pieces. I love the energy of a startup that is evolving and making a real impact on people’s lives. Caregiving.com is on the right path to create good disruption in the caregiving industry and help millions of people.

Caregiving.com: What inspired you to become the Head of Marketing?

Nancy: As I mentioned, my career interests have always centered around health, wellness, and technology. When a friend introduced me to Mike and Caregiving.com, I knew I wanted to be a part of an organization that is touching the lives of so many caregivers and their loved ones.

Caregiving.com: Thinking of some of the evolving challenges caregivers face today, how will Caregiving.com help address them?

Nancy: We are building an ecosystem of resources that will impact millions of caregivers. Our focus is on giving people unconditional access to support, information, and tools that address their everyday challenges -- in the format that best suits their needs when they need it.

Caregiving.com: What is your vision for our website and community now and in the future?

Nancy: Right now, we offer personal stories and information people can relate to during their caregiving journey. In the near future, we are building partnerships in a variety of ways to provide educational content and local resources for all things caregiving. Caregiving.com will be the single source of information someone needs no matter where they are in their journey. Our team is dedicated to bringing the right resources and technology together to help the millions of caregivers live a better life for themselves and their loved ones.
