christmas-20644_640The day's mood can often depend on the day's needs. When you have what you need, the mood feels bright.

When you don't have what you need, the mood feels blight.

The struggle, though, is to have what you need when others need so much. You're running so much to keep the lights on for others that your spirit can't help but dim.

How do you create the right mood, a balance between giving and receiving?

The fear of not being enough will burn out your bulb. During a time that challenges every core of your being, know you are enough, that you do enough. Believing you are enough helps set the mood. And, when you doubt you are enough, know we see you shine. We see your courageous efforts, your hard work, your caring diligence. We see you're enough.

We don't expect the bulbs which light our homes to burn forever. We're prepared with a replacement, knowing that nothing can go on without burning out. When you've had enough, turn down your lights. Take a moment of quiet and solitude. Breaking, as often as you need, helps maintain the mood.
