During our lunch break at the First Annual National Caregiving Conference, we enjoyed a quick demonstration of an improv exercise led by Cathy Braxton and Tami Neumann of DementiaRaw. From improv we went to our fashion show which began adaptive apparel and closed with "What I Wear When I Care."

Adaptive apparel featured during our show include:

  • ABLDenim, an inclusive design business dedicated to providing clothing design solutions for people with disabilities.

  • CareZips which sells an innovative and new pair of pants (adaptive apparel) for the adult incontinent market. These pants enable a fully-frontal opening to the knees via three strategically positioned zippers. This unique opening allows for an easier and faster access to the abdomen for issues typically related to incontinence (e.g. a brief change) or wound care or bags.
