Tune....\r\n\r\n*Sighs:/ Today started off with my Dad blasting his music (as usual) to the maximum volume his little radio could go up to. Woke up thinking.... Here we go://// Started complaining about things that we both have no control over. \"Dad, sometimes you just gotta join'em!\" Telling myself at the same time, here is where I'm gonna tune him out:-) Round 1, TUNE OUT! Wish there could be a day where his saying or doing anything positive could outweigh the negative by an overwhelming amount. \r\n\r\nTaking a breath I proceed to begin my morning. Went in to wake up my mom to get her going, she starts to complain that it's so cold and that she wants to sleep in. Ok great:/ Heck I want to sleep in too. Round 2.... TUNE OUT! \r\n\r\nBreakfast time I decided to give dad a little cheat treat cause his sugar levels have been real good lately. \"Can I get like 2 more please?\" To that I replied, \"I'll give it to you if you tell the Dr. the truth when you arrive at the ER. So pick your poison: 2 more banana's or a trip to the ER when I can't get your sugar under control?\" Round 3 TUNE OUT! \r\n\r\nBy now I'm ready for a break on the front porch. The rest of the day goes by a little smoother. During their nap time the doorbell rings, it's the Elders who have come to pay a visit. One of them starts off by complimenting on how our house is always clean and smells good. That caught me off guard, but made me feel so good inside. I do my best to keep everything comfortable as I possibly can for everyone in our home and those who visit. \r\n\r\nTonight was set to be our first night to get my daughter on a \"regular\" sleeping schedule, she starts school this Fall. My husband gets home from work at 9pm, he usually does the showering duties so I can catch me some breathing time. He decides to make a phone call that is dragging on.... Here we go, RING RING.... Round 4 = TUNE OUT! \r\n\r\nAfter I get my daughter showered I place her clothes and brush on his lap, while he's still on the phone:D I jam into the garage because he finally bought some detergent, to begin what looks to be about 5 loads of laundry (for me & my family and my mom & dad) at 10:29pm:/ Here it is, the knockout round.... ROUND 6! TUNE OUT! \r\n\r\nSat down on the couch (while everyone keeps peeking over at me every few seconds lol), laptop opened to Community Caregiving Journal, headphones on.... Tuned into (as loud as my laptop volume can go) Steve Perry and Journey taking me away with Faithfully....\r\n\r\nHave a great evening my family!
