She wrote:
My interest arise when my grandfather became ill with early stages of Alzheimer and my grandmother's responsibility as a caregiver. People often overlook of those who are providing care because they are primarily focused on the one receiving the care. I learned this by observing my grandparents. Taking care of my grandfather, who, in all her life has been the provider was a difficult yet beautiful thing to see. On one hand, I learned about their love for each other, and on the other, I was witnessing the difficulties of aging in New York City. I watched my grandmother slowly getting frustrated, lonely and fatigued...They have left for Indonesia two years ago, to be in warmer climate and closer to other family members (my mother and father) who can look after them.

Inaya would like to document the story of three family caregivers who live in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. Inaya would visit participating family caregivers in their homes once a week for about two hours between now and the end of the year.

If you would like to be a part of this documentary, please send me an email and I'll connect you with Inaya.
