Overly Cautious

I sorta poofed for the last week or so and I honestly didn't mean too.  Everything has been good since seeing Dr. Boyd last Friday.  We had meant to go to the local Memorial day car show on Saturday but the weather was acting up so we stayed home.

Sunday started off pretty good with time sleeping in and donuts for breakfast.  Then we went into the back and while I planted our two tomatoes, Gramma sat in the sunshine on the back porch.  She also fixed lunch which she was rather proud of but the pan was a little heavy for her wrist and it started hurting so I gave her a pain pill and she took a nap.  When she woke up though she was dizzy and she kept to herself until about 11 pm when she finally admitted to it.  Since being dizzy is what let us know there was the stroke issue last time we didn't take any chances and headed over to the ER.

The local hospital isn't very big and to keep from closing they've become a teaching hospital.  So I understand that when there is an influx of patients there is a long waiting time.  They only have 8 spaces available not counting the hall outside of the ER. So we spent a little time in the waiting room and when it came time they took her in ahead of everyone else because of her age and the issue.  It turned out, however, that everything was fine.  We're just being extra cautious and the doctor stated that it was okay they want us to be with everything that has happened.

On the downside, we didn't get home until 3 am so life has been spent catching up on sleep as much as possible and failing miserably.  I'm looking forward to the weekend.
