Podcast: Dad's in the Hospital - Now What?

Lynette Whiteman
When I think about my caregiving journey, I can safely say that having both my parents in the hospital was one of the most stressful times in my life.  It involved juggling work, family, being an advocate for them and trying to navigate a system that sometimes seemed to be designed to make make my life as difficult as possible.

"On The Frontlines of Caregiving" this week focuses on a different way to look at this experience and provides some down to earth tools that caregivers can put into practice to help during this difficult time. Beth Suereth, one of our National Caregiving Conference speakers founded a company called HaveHealth. LLC. Through her experience caring for her dad in the hospital, and also successfully keeping her dad out of the hospital, she learned some very useful lessons. Beth's passion now is sharing her expertise with other caregivers through her guide "How To Help Your Loved One in the Hospital" and by being available for private consultations.

I hope you enjoy the podcast where we discuss the power that you as a family caregiver have once your loved one enters a hospital and the difference you can make. Beth also shares her top 3 tips that she wishes she knew before entering this world.

As always, I would love to hear your feedback and if you have anything that has worked for you - please share!!
