On Tuesday, I was a guest on JED in the REgion, a talk show hosted by Jim Dedelow which airs on WJOB in Hammond, Ind. Jean (@jmkeslin), who works at the station, organized and scheduled the interview. You can listen to the podcast of my appearance, below.

Jean and I enjoyed breakfast at a local restaurant after the interview aired. We had a great chatting and sharing--it's always wonderful to connect in person with a Caregiving.com member.

Thanks so much, Jean, for making Tuesday possible!!

I was so grateful that Denise was able to come to our station. It was interesting that 3 guys called. The other thing I found interesting is that they seemed to minimized or deny that they felt stress. And I think that is so typical of all of us when we are in the throws of caregiving.

Wow, great interview, congrats Denise! Hope you can get some more of these for Caregivers Month. Awesome callers on this one. It really achieved its goal.

That was a good interview, Denise. I think the thing that surprised me the most was that the three callers were all men. That is certainly different from how you imagine caregivers to be more women than men. Or does it say that men might not be as inclined to write (type) out their feelings and concerns, but don't mind talking about them nonetheless. An interesting subject on communication. So how do we get some more men on here? (Working with Jim sounded like a real hoot)
