Rock

gravel-89178_640You can feel like you're between a rock and a hard place.

The rock is usually a dead end created by those answers you hate to hear, like "No, you don't qualify," "Sorry, we can't help" and "Our services will end on Friday." The hard place is usually where you are--in a tight spot, which seems to leave you without options and out of possibilities.

When you're facing that rock, when your place feels too hard, roll. Face a different direction, look a different way. Slip off the rock and out of that hard place.

You roll by talking it out, by writing it down, by taking a break from the hunt for help. Your roll gains momentum when you decide that rock is merely a pebble in your way and that you will get what you need.

You can feel captive on that rock. Know you're not. Rock and then roll toward better.
