Saturdays Are Rough

Janet
JanetIt's Saturday and Saturday has always been a rough day even when my mom lived by herself. Don't know why, but some Saturday are worst then others. Last night I went to our annual Valentine dance with Beta Sigma phi, I had fun, hopefully this picture will show up.

Back to Mom, I love her dearly but sometimes she gets the best of me. My DIL's washing machine broke last night and I asked mom if we could go ahead and switch the washing machine we planned on doing once the her house sold--taking the one from her house to my SIL's house and put that one in the house. I thought since we weren't going to leave the washing machine in her house after it sells, why not go ahead and do the switch and give my DIL my SIL's washing machine. I thought: Simple fixes for all.

But no. My mother said she had lost everything and wanted to leave the washing machines they way they are.

Well this just pushed me over the edge. I told her: I don't know why you treat my son and his family the way you do. My son was adopted in 1988 when he was 7 years old. I kinda knew mom treated him a little different than the other grandchildren that are really hers. Now don't get me wrong she has done nice things for my son, like letting him live with her two different times when he was having a rough time.

I told that I have only one grandchild and probably will never have another one. (My granddaughter is actually my step grandchild, but she has been in our life since she was 4 months old. She is now 2 1/2 years old and--a plus--she has red hair. No one would know she isn't part of the family). I got upset and told her she could move home whenever. Of course I know it won't happen.
Don't know why I am so moody now these days. But this too will pass.

Tonight I am having both my nephew and my granddaughter here for the evening so I can take them to church, should be a fun night. Mom got her hair done today so she feel better and I guess that is good.
