Still Waiting

Still Waiting

clock-95330_640Just a quick update on my friend. She had her second biopsy on Monday but the doctor sent her to the hospital three days before it was scheduled because of high white cell count and elevated heart rate. She is still there this morning. I don't know if she got any results back yet from the blood cultures or the biopsy. I expect by today they will get more info.

Her sister is sending me text updates as my friend isn't up to talking. I heard she was feeling better and her color was better last night. Just am here waiting again and hoping for a better outcome then the initial diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer from the other hospital/doctor.

I'm keeping busy with painting projects (the whole house needs painting) and getting ready for visit from my daughter and two sweet grandkids from California. We will all then travel to my son's house and stay there for a few days. My two kids and five grandkids all in one place, a very rare occurrence indeed.

So tough to wait. The waiting makes my mind create really dire situations. :(\r\n\r\nI hope you've received some news. \r\n\r\nAnd, how wonderful about the visit!! When does your daughter arrive?

A houseful of kids and grandkids is just the ticket to brighten your mood, Jean. Post some pix of your family reunion if you can! :) \r\n\r\nSounds like the doctor's decision to admit your friend early was a wise one. Elevated WBC always gets you wondering about a lurking infection. Please keep us posted when you learn more. \r\n\r\nDo you like painting? House painting, I mean. I actually find it very relaxing. Apparently I must have needed a lot of relaxing over the last couple of years lol -- there's not much left to paint! The wraparound front porch is due to be spiffed up, so I guess that'll be my next project. Or maybe I'll change the color of the wrought iron tables and chairs on our porch. They used to be black, then I spray painted them cherry red a couple years ago. Maybe it's time for a new color!
