As time goes on the stress impacts me in less visible ways than early on in the process. I have gained weight and I feel as if I have aged 10 years. But recently, I notice that I wear my feelings on my sleeves. My feelings get hurt easily and I am hyper-sensitive to how people respond to me. I feel more invisible now than I have to this point in time. I am not sure why but the stress seems to have grown in me and the awareness of me seems to have lessened. Stress has warped my ability to think clearly in so many areas and, yes, I agree with a previous post, my memory is very impacted. I wonder at times how all the pieces of me will be put back together when this is over.


Stress has given me sleepless nights. Aside from that its a headache and it made my personality change. I get easily irritated, mad and little things matters. But at the same time it is giving me the chance to learn how to control my emotions when I am in stress.

I have 50 pounds that are hanging on for dear mom used to be able to write down things that she needed to say. Now even that is very difficult for her. Her anxiety goes up when she can't express herself. It's incredibly frustrating for both of us. I can hear her anxious sighs now as she tries to write down what she wants from the grocery time she even got out her dictionary...going page by page, looking for the word she wanted. Heart-breaking.
