Put me in front of my oldest sibling to provide an update on my dad and my stomach turns. I'm a nervous wreak.

Our caregiving situations can intimidate in ways we don't expect. Caregiving can seem to steal our confidence, replacing it with self doubt and second guesses.

I get nervous when my grandchildren come to visit. Their ages are 7, 4, and 3 months. My Mom who has dementia starts to get into things and it's like I have a 4th child to take care of. Everyone needs my attention at the same time and I feel like screaming.\r\nI also get nervous trying to get my Mother to doctor appointment as she loses more of her skills of dressing, ect...

Early morning wake-ups make me nervous. We have to be up at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow and I'm already sweating about waking up on time.

When mom gets sick and I have to decide if she needs to go to the ER. \r\n\r\nWhen mom has to go anywhere by ambulance, I worry about the bill. \r\n\r\nWhen it's time to refill her medication that the insurance does not cover and we are out of money.

Oh my... Let me think about that a minute!\r\nMeasuring morphine and dealing with an oxygen concentrator really scared me.\r\nThe idea that I will most likely be going to fire school in the fall.\r\nKnowing that if I mis-measured the morphine I won't have the equipment at my disposal to be able to counteract the overdose... That scares the holy smokes out of me!
