The Caregivers Morning Routine

I follow several motivational speakers and authors, and many have their own guide to a specialized morning routine designed to help bring out the best version of you.

I'm all about being the best version of me.

But getting up an hour early can be a tough ask when I've been up several times over night helping my husband... and generally the minute I step out of bed, he stirs awake and wants or needs help, rendering my attempt at "beating the crowd" useless.

I've tried various routines and I've beaten myself up over failure to implement. But I truly believe in the habits these routines preach and the need to set your day up from the start.

My morning routine is inconsistent, but it includes gratitude, exercise, hydration, positive affirmations. Sometimes visualization. Sometimes journaling. It strengthens my day and my resolve.
