There's Still So Much To Do

CatKBorn
There's still so much to do.

It's been a week today and there's still so much to do.

The funeral was four days ago and there's still so much to do. Picked up most of her things (except the lift chair - that will be gathered up next week) tonight and brought it all home. But there's still so much to do.

  1. Clothes to be sorted and donated.

  2. A computer desk with hutch no longer needed that over-crowds the room now that the dresser is back.

  3. Where to put her TV - wall mount or not?

  4. Call the lawyer, make an appointment to figure out the legal hoo-ha.

  5. Call the cemetery in Maine and let them know she'll be buried in September.

  6. Go back next week and get the lift chair.

  7. Notify the bank and cancel all the credit cards.

  8. Donate her eyeglasses - after finding a Lions Club donation box.

  9. Wheelchair, walker, toilet seat railings, bed rail.... figure out what to do with those.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg.

There's still so much to do.

I'm exhausted.

There's still so much to do.

Dear Cat, at times you will feel overwhelmed. You have a good list going and great advise to get multiple copies of the death certificate. Another piece I was told about, if you are Not on the check/savings account, don't let the bank know she has passed, they will tie up those funds longer than you can believe. If you are on her account, it should be fine, just something to know. You are in my prayers as you go through all these steps with memories crowding your thoughts!

Cat, there are no words that really make sense when someone is having to go through this. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Babs, good suggestion. I was surprised how many times I had to use the death certificate when my husband passed away.
