Today, Watch Minding Our Own

Denise
2015_Caregiving.com_SpecialScreening_360x360pxIn October of 2013, Inaya Graciana Yusuf, a graduate student from School of Visual Arts in New York City, contacted me about a documentary she wanted to make about caregiving.

She's completed her film, Minding Our Own, and would love for you to see it. So, we've arranged for members of Caregiving.com to enjoy a free viewing of her film from May 29 through May 31 June 1. (Inaya has graciously agreed to extend our screening through Monday, June 1, so as many members as possible can view the film.)

To watch the film, log into your Caregiving.com account beginning Friday for a notification from me with a password. Then, go to Minding Your Own and enter your password to watch. The film lasts 40 minutes. You can watch a trailer of the film at the bottom of this post. (Not a member of Caregiving.com? Create your free Caregiving.com account and join us.)

Minding Our Own is a compassionate portrayal of two families and their quest to understand the world of caregiving. While unearthing relationship dynamics, these unlikely heroes provide an intimate look into what it takes to truly care for another person. The film is a meditation on life's surprises as well as its immeasurable rewards.

Minding Our Own unveils the raw emotions that surfaces from the complexity of parenthood, adulthood and partnership, while redefining the meaning of love and friendship.

Inaya will join me for a video chat about her film on Sunday, May 31, at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT, Noon p.m. PT). Feel free to join our discussion to ask questions and share your thoughts. Look for details on how to watch our video chat on Friday.

After you've watched the film, feel free to share your thoughts and reactions in our comments section, below.
