Thursday, Almost Friday

Janet
I wish I could say our home is back to normal but I have to figure out what is normal anymore around here. Mom is only feeding herself and brushing her teeth. My great hubby has to pick her up from one place to another place. She is in so much pain that my heart feels terrible. I was able to get an an appointment with the doctor who did her hip and knee replacements. She has been with that a doctor for 20 years or so. We did get a smaller wheeled chair for our house; it's a little easier to push her now.

I talked to my older brother, who lives in GA. He has daughter who's in the medical service and he asked her to help us on the weekend. His college son also is coming to help.

imageWe are going to get health care for three times a week. Mom has to pay for the first 100 days then at 101 days they pick up the cost. Luckily, between Mom and her children, we will be able to handle it.

My hubby and I went to bed last night and both said she is getting worst as the days pass. We are praying that she will make it to her 90th birthday in September so we can throw a blast party for her.

imageWell since it's Thursday flash back, here are a couple of my family. The black and white picture is from the 60's and next one is my grandmother, dad and brother as I am off to join the Army in 1973.
