What Do You Think: Can Caregiving Heal?

Tonight on Your Caregiving Journey, our panel of family caregivers shared their answers to this question. You can listen to our show via the player below.

During our discussion, @kreisler spoke about how your care heals simply because it's you (you're like chicken soup). @ejourneys shared that the caregiving experience has proven to be a healing experience for her. And, @jbones1961 said that her relationship with Nicole is closer because of caregiving. I believe a caregiving experience can heal relationships simply because you don't have the time or energy to carry the grudge.

We moved into a discussion about what needs to be healed; what common wound do we carry? I wondered if the wound is that fear of failure, which led to a discussion about how we manage that fear.

We closed our discussion with an unanimous decision that caregiving can heal.
