Update of 9/18/14

Larry
we-are-moving2Tuesday: On waking the temperature was 61 F. The high for the day was 81 F. Podiatry appointment for Mom today.

Wednesday: On waking the temperature was 63 F. The high for the day was 84 F. Dialysis and chiropractor today. At, 4:45 p.m. today I received a call from friend that he just got a call for the company that provides his weekday services that the person scheduled for him for Thursday and Friday had quit without notice. They had no one to come and do his cares for this Thursday and Friday. Had to call the MCO on the after-hours line (they close at 4:30 p.m.) for an emergency authorization for me to do his cares for those days. I was given approval for Thursday for personal care only--no cleaning--and told I had to call during regular hours for any other authorizations.

Thursday: On waking the high was 73 F. The high for the day was 84 F with a heat index of 89 F. Regular cares today. Personal care for friend as well as regular cares for Mom and my two other clients. Called MCO about Friday and received personal care only authorization with no cleaning for Friday.

Friday: On waking the temp was 67 F and falling. The temp dropped to 61 F by sundown. Dialysis, MCO pharmacy, Part D pharmacy, friend's personal care and laundry today.

Saturday: On waking the temp was 51 F. The high for the day was 77 F. Regular cares today. We participated in Steppin’ Out in Pink.

Sunday: On waking the temp was 56 F. The high for the day was 80 F. Regular cares for today. Sloppy Joe’s and homemade bread today. Mom’s hemorrhoids started acting up again today.

Monday: On waking up the temp was 56 F with fog. The high for the day was 74 F with thunderstorms. Dialysis today, Chiropractor and trip to the DME for CPAP supplies. Called Mom’s PCP because her hemorrhoids were acting up again and the treatment proscribed before was not working which made it hard for her to sit in the dialysis chair. PCP gave us addition medication to be applied to the hemorrhoids and referred us to surgery dept for a consult.

Tuesday: On waking the temp was 70 F. The high for the day was 80 F. Raining in the evening. Regular cares today. Received a call from the weekday providing company for my friend that they can not cover him Thursday and Friday this week as they have yet to fill the open position. Have call in to his MCO social worker for approval for services.

Wednesday: On waking the temp was 69 F and falling. It was still raining. By sunset the temp was 52 F. Dialysis today.

Thursday: On waking the temperature was 47 F. The high for the day was 58 F. Trip to the dentist today for Mom a 60-mile round trip. Care for friend as his weekday providing company could not fill the spot today. Also had my two other clients today. (A 12-hour day for me today!)

Friday: On waking the temperature was 44 F with light rain. The high for the day was 50 F. Dialysis, pharmacy, friend's care today due to his weekday company not being able to fill the spot again today, one client today, and laundry. (13-hour day for me today!) Received word that Enterovirus-68 has hit the local area and the dialysis center is taking extra precautions. Any visitor or staff with cold like symptoms has to stay out and any patient with symptoms must wear a mask and an appointment will be made for immediately after dialysis for them to be seen by their PCP or another member their department. I think this is a little overkill as it is listed as only affecting kids and according to the CDC does not seem to affect adults.

Saturday: On waking the temperature was 40 F. The high for the day was 60 F. Regular cares today and shopping.

Sunday: On waking the temperature was 47 F. The high for the day was 72 F. Regular cares today. Homemade chicken noodle soup and homemade bread today.

Monday: On waking the temperature was 45 F. High for the day 64 F. Dialysis with doctor at dialysis and chiropractor today. Received phone call that we have an apartment to be able to move to. We do not know the date that we can move in yet. The other person is to be out September 30 and then they will let us know when we can move in. It will be as soon as they can get it ready.

Tuesday: On waking the temperature was 44 F. The high for the day was 69 F. Regular cares today.

Wednesday: On waking the temperature was 49 F. The high for the day was 71 F. Dialysis today. Our church chicken Q today so good chicken dinner today!

Thursday: On waking the temperature was 49 F with very dense fog. The high for the day was 72 F. Appointment with the surgeon to see about Mom’s hemorrhoids. Turns out is not hemorrhoids but irritated skin tag. The discussion is to see how often flairs up before we do surgery.

Hi Larry--I, too, hope your mom feels better.\r\n\r\nDo you like the new apartment? \r\n\r\nOHHHHH! It just occurred to me that you have to pack and move. OHHHHH! On top of everything else you have to do. Any chance you'll get any help with the packing?\r\n\r\nHoping today brings a yummy Sunday dinner and a Packer's win for you.
