200px-Camera-video.svgOur weekly video chat takes place at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT, Noon PT). Today, we’re talking with four parents who care for children. We'll discuss their worries, their adjustments to a chronic illness and their coping strategies.

Joining me today are:

--Jane Northrop, who cares for her daughter, Nicole, who was diagnosed in 2010 at 15 with a rare, chronic, life-threatening, incurable, progressive lung disease called pulmonary hypertension. She was also diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. You can connect with Jane at her profile page: @jbones1961.

--Laurel Rausch Greshel grew up in Parma, Ohio, and later moved to southeastern Michigan, where she and her husband, Ted, raised three daughters. It is through her faith that Laurel faced and survived the challenges of raising her eldest daughter, Amanda, who was born with spina bifida. As author of the book Amanda, Perfectly Made, Laurel shares her journey as mom and caregiver for her daughter. From the cheers and triumphs, to the tears and frustrations, Laurel wants other caregiving moms to know that you are not alone. You can connect with Laurel at her profile page: @justlaurel.

--Sue Peterson, who cares for her daughter, Mackenzie, who received a heart transplant four years ago. You can read Mackenzie's story on Sue's blog, A Second Heart. Sue also currently cares for her parents. You can connect with Sue at her profile page: @2ndheartmom. (Sue had a work commitment that kept her from joining us. We'll invite her to join us for our next chat.)

--Tami Neumann, who cares for her 13-year-old son diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. You can read more of Tami's story on her blog, Smells Like Band-Aids. You can connect with Tami at her profile page: @tneumann.
