Who Moved My Teeth??

Lynette Whiteman
Let's face it, being the family caregiver is not easy and not for sissies. So many emotional landmines - missing the loved one you used to know, being pulled in so many directions, so many needs - so little time, what about me??? I began a podcast "On The Frontlines of Caregiving" as a place for us to come together and share our stories, our challenges and our small victories. It's time to be honest about being a frontline caregiver!

My guest this week was Cathy Sikorski who has been a caregiver for the last 25 years for seven different family members and friends!  On top of providing care, she was an attorney practicing Elder Law.  In her latest book Who Moved My Teeth?, Cathy explores the world of caregiving in human, humorous and easy to understand ways. Cathy also has a blog - "You Just Have to Laugh...Where Caregiving is Comedy"  and writes for the Huffington Post and HumorOutcasts.com.  In my podcast "On The Frontlines of Caregiving"  we discuss the practical aspects of caregiving from obtaining a power of attorney to my favorite chapter on "fill in the blanks" when asking for help.   All of Cathy's information can be found at www.cathysikorski.com and she can be contacted at cathy.sikorski@gmail.com.  Follow her on Twitter at @cathy_sikorski.

I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, please subscribe to the podcast.  I have lots of interesting guests scheduled in the upcoming weeks and as always, my goal is to let you know, we're all in this together!  Thanks, Lynette
