The Caregiving Years, Six Stages to a Meaningful Journey (Part 1)
Throughout the caregiving journey, the role of family caregiver evolves – and so should the services and the support they receive. The Caregiving Years describes the path that family caregivers take – from Expectant Caregiver, to Freshman Caregiver, to Entrenched Caregiver, to Pragmatic Caregiver to Transitioning Caregiver to Godspeed Caregiver. Most important, the stages–and their related Stumbles and Steadies–provide a map for family caregivers to navigate successfully through the caregiving journey. In this first part, we'll cover the first three stages. Get our resources for The Caregiving Years Part 1 support group meeting.

Surviving Caregiving: The Power of Acceptance
How do you survive caregiving? A key component is acceptance. And, that’s easier said than done. There’s so much to accept in caregiving–how is it possible? How in the world can it really help? In “Surviving Caregiving: The Power of Acceptance,” Denise M. Brown of Caregiving.com will share ways to move to acceptance so that caregiving seems doable rather than just plain awful. At the end of the webinar, you’ll have a plan in place to accept. Get our resources for Surviving Caregiving: The Power of Acceptance support group meeting.

Surviving Caregiving: Letting Go
How do you survive caregiving? A key component is letting go. Often, we hold on so tight that we strangle opportunities to get help, to improve our days and to manage the tough moments. In “Surviving Caregiving: Letting Go,” Denise M. Brown of Caregiving.com will share ways to move from holding on too tight to letting go just right. At the end of the webinar, you’ll have a plan in place to let go of what holds you back. Get our resources for Surviving Caregiving: Letting Go support group meeting.

Planting Your Seeds for Your Future
The intensity of caregiving can mean days that never end. When the days of caregiving seem endless, how can you plan for your future? A future beyond caregiving? In this webinar, Denise will help you create a vision of your future — a vision full of possibilities without any guilt. Get our resources for Planting Your Seeds for Your Future.

Dispelling Doubt: Caregiving with Clarity
What do, when to do, how to do it: That’s a caregiving day. Add in your caree’s confusion and that’s a caregiving bad day. In this 30-minute webinar, Denise will help you find the triggers in your day which feed into your self-doubt and dampen your confidence. Once you understand the source for your doubts, you’ll be able to make changes in your routine and your day to keep your confidence. Get our resources for Dispelling Doubt: Caregiving with Clarity.

Finding Your Answer to Those Awful Questions
In our annual family caregiver survey, we asked, “What’s the worst question you get asked?” And, wow, you told us the doozy of a question you get asked about your caregiving situation. So, in this webinar, we’ll share the worst questions you get asked (including “Why don’t you put your caree in a nursing home?”) and help you find your powerful answer. Get our resources for Finding Your Answer to Those Awful Questions.

Escape! Taking a Break Without Taking a Leave
In a recent Annual Family Caregiver Survey, we asked: When was/is the hardest time for you in your caregiving role? 32% of respondents said their hardest time was when they were exhausted from not taking a break. In this webinar, Denise will offer ideas on how you can escape without taking a leave from the house. Get our resources for Escape! Taking a Break Without Taking a Leave.

Ooooh, you want to blame someone (anyone!) for a bad day, a bad month and, what may feel like, a bad life. Even worse, sometimes, you just blame yourself. When you play the blame game, everyone loses. We’ll help you end the game so you can win. Get our resources for Ending the Blame Game.
